Tools include dial indicators, pressure gauges, and electrical test leads. / In-field repair involves PTO removal from the rear housing if needed, replacement of clutch disks and pressure plates, shaft restoration or replacement, seal kit installation, and reassembly to manufacturer torque spec. For hydraulic PTOs, lines are flushed and bled. All work is performed without removing the tractor from the property, saving transport costs and downtime.
PTO Shaft Restoration and Seal Replacement
Worn splines, bent output shafts, and leaking shaft seals are repaired or replaced on location. Atlas removes and fits new PTO shafts and seals using portable press and seal installer kits, restoring proper alignment, locking, and oil control to the rear PTO assembly.
Field-Replaceable Clutch and Plate Repair
Atlas disassembles worn or slipping PTO clutch packs directly on the property using portable press tools and manufacturer-matched plates. Measurement of clutch stack thickness and inspection for spring fatigue ensure restorations meet OEM pressure and engagement parameters.
Hydraulic and Electrical PTO Actuation Diagnosis
Atlas checks hydraulic PTOs with pressure gauges at the valve block and inspects solenoids, relays, and linkage on electric engagement systems. Failures traced to low line pressure, relay burn-through, or corroded wiring are corrected with parts replacement or wiring harness repair.
