Atlas Mobile Heavy Equipment Repair & Land Works performs full transmission rebuilds for wheel loaders, from late-model Caterpillar and Volvo automatic powershift units to older mechanical transmissions and imported Chinese loaders. Rebuild work addresses worn clutch packs (measured for thickness and friction material integrity), sun and planetary gear damage (visual inspection and backlash measurement), worn bushings, seal failure leading to cross-contamination, and valve body leakage. / Adam uses hydraulic pressure gauges to isolate loss of drive, conducts line pressure tests at clutch apply ports, and inspects for internal leaks using system pressure drop-off rates. Gears, bearings, seals, and clutch discs are replaced as required. Valve bodies are disassembled to clean sticky spools and check for sheared roll pins or blown gaskets. / Reassembly includes clearancing clutch pack stacks, setting end play, torquing bearing caps and housing fasteners to manufacturer specifications, and evaluating shift timing through live testing. Road testing addresses upshift/downshift harshness, and thermal imaging identifies hotspots indicative of excessive friction. Field service eliminates the need to haul an inoperable loader to a shop, reducing downtime from weeks to days.
