Atlas performs ATV electrical system diagnosis and repair in the field, minimizing downtime spent transporting machines to a shop. Common failures involve corroded battery terminals causing high resistance starts, pinched or shorted harnesses from underbody brush impacts, failed rectifier/regulators, and dead starter solenoids. Atlas uses a multimeter to check voltage at the source and load, confirms continuity through major harness runs, and uses voltage drop testing to identify high-resistance circuits. / / Lighting and accessory power issues are addressed by tracing from source through fuses and relays, checking circuit amperage draw, and confirming proper grounding at frame and load. Atlas routinely repairs and reroutes harness sections compromised by previous owner installs or rodent damage, uses OEM-equivalent connectors for weatherproof harness rebuilds, and installs inline fuses up to manufacturer spec. / / Charging system failures are isolated by measuring stator AC output across RPM ranges, confirming rectifier/regulator DC output at both idle and under load, and checking battery state-of-charge and capacity. Adam performs switch, relay, and fuse box replacements when needed, and diagnoses keyless and digital electronic systems on recent model ATVs. All work is performed on site for both utility and sport ATVs, minimizing transport delays and machine downtime.
