Heavy equipment electrical systems involve a web of circuits controlling engine start, hydraulic solenoids, lighting, HVAC, sensors, CAN-bus modules, and safety interlocks. Failures can occur from worn connectors, rodent-damaged harnesses, corroded relays, blown fuses, failed alternators, weak batteries, and open or shorted wiring. Symptoms include no-crank, intermittent shutdown, loss of hydraulic controls, dead displays, and non-responsive lighting or warning systems. / Atlas starts with system mapping and visual inspection, uses multimeter continuity checks, voltage drop tests, and load simulation to isolate faults. On machines with no schematic or dealer support, circuit tracing is done point-to-point, differentiating between ground loss, power loss, and signal noise. Adam carries electrical wire, terminals, heat-shrink, relays, and harness repair supplies to rebuild on site. Component replacement includes alternators sized to machine KW draw, starter motors matched to engine model, and custom relay/fuse blocks where factory parts are discontinued. / Modern equipment with CAN-bus or multiplexed wiring is handled with manual testing and field-adapted diagnostic tools when factory software is unavailable. On older iron, Atlas rebuilds entire harness sections, fits replacement connectors (Deutsch, Weather Pack, ring and spade), and repairs corroded terminals. After repair, test points confirm restored operation—whether firing a starter solenoid at the relay, checking voltage to a smart display, or pulsing a proportional valve. This process delivers restored function without repeated shop transport or relying on dealer-only modules.
